September 2025 - Radford, Holbrook, Sherbourne and Bablake - Sergeant's Update
Dear residents,
I have recently taken over from Sergeant Jackson and will now be your new local neighbourhood team’s sergeant. Having been a neighbourhood sergeant previously, I am keen to get to know the community and do the work to target our priorities.
On Saturday 13th September 2025, I attended a coffee morning with MP Owatemi at St Finn’s Bar Sports and Social Club where I had the chance to speak to some of you. Speeding was the main issue raised and we have already planned to conduct speed watches at the locations provided.
Over the last month, the team have been conducting various patrols to tackle ASB and suspicious activity. Thanks to a member of the community’s information, we were able to spot and stop a vehicle resulting in drugs being seized and the vehicle being seized due to being undocumented. If you have information that you think may be useful for us, please speak to us at a PACT meeting (details below) or send a message to our team’s email inbox. This can be done via the force’s website page and clicking on ‘Your area’.
We have had a number of reports of children causing issues at various locations. The team have secured a positive result from the CPS for a youth who has been causing significant issues at the Alvis Retail Park. Anti-social behaviour (ASB) can escalate to criminal activity and impacts people and businesses greatly. Do you know where your children are or what they are up to when they go out?
Your local neighbourhood team have been busy supporting other departments during the last month. They have also found and recovered a number of stolen vehicles which have been returned to the owners.
There have been a number of reports of vehicles being interfered with or items being stolen within them across the neighbourhood. Please remember not to keep valuables on show in your vehicles and ensure it is secure before leaving it.
It suddenly seems darker and colder in the mornings now when getting up for work. For those that enjoy cycling, running and walking in the early hours or overnight, avoid wearing all dark clothing if possible as this makes it harder for vehicle drivers to see you. I enjoy running and have got myself light up LED armbands to keep myself safe!
I plan to attend future community engagement events where possible, so hopefully I will meet some of you then!
PACT (Partners & Communities Together) Meetings These are held once a month at one of the four wards which is open to members of the community to come along and meet members of the team.
The next one is scheduled to take place at Keresley Library, Bennetts Road, Keresley End, CV7 8HX.
To see when and where our meetings are, visit the force’s website page and search for ‘your area’.
